Learn Japanese grammar: (yo). Meaning: The particle よ is used at the end of a sentence to emphasize what you are saying. It is mostly used in spoken Japanese.

Example A) よ

  • おいしい
  • oishii .
  • This is really tasty! (you should try it)

Example B) よね

よ (yo) can be combined with to ask for confirmation or agreement.

  • おいしい
  • oishii .
  • This is really good, isn’t it?
