Learn Japanese grammar: のみ (nomi). Meaning: only; nothing but.
This Japanese particle is used to express a limit or targeted range. It is very similar to だけ (dake), which is spoken Japanese, while のみ (nomi) is used in written Japanese. Therefore, it is more formal and polite.
**Note** cannot be used with adjectives.
