Learn Japanese grammar: 又は 【】(matawa). Meaning: both; or; otherwise​; choice between [A] or [B].

The kanji version is used in more advanced Japanese 又は, and this grammar can be used to express 2 different meanings.

Meaning 1) To choose one option between [A] and [B]. A more formal version of “or”.

Meaning 2) Both options [A] and [B] are valid.
